About Us

Welcome to the Hocking River Commission! Our group formed in 1991 to serve as non-profit stewards of the Hocking River, through education, promotion of river-corridor recreation, and riverfront land protection. In 1998 HRC became a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization. Activities are funded through grants and memberships.

Our active membership is small but effective, backed up by the encouragement and financial support of supporting members.
