Falls Mill is the first land trust purchase in September 2002. Falls Mill is located on SR 664 in Logan, Ohio. HRC purchased the property from long time Logan resident, Ruth Shatz. Falls Mill property has the largest waterfalls on the Hocking River. Once the site of a working mill you can see remnants of the sluice channel and water diversion fence in the river during low water. HRC purchased the property before the construction of the current road bridge over the property. Through HRC’s work with the Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Department of Natural Resources the site has a parking lot, canoe access points, and portage around the falls.
